NOTD-Revlon Scandalous & an experiment

I missed out on Facets of Fuchsia when it came out, so I was happy to hear it had been re-released and named Scandalous.  I knew I wanted to get it, but didn't actively go out on a mad hunt for it.  I had stopped at Walgreens one day for a Wet N Wild copper eyeliner and there was one bottle of Scandalous so I snatched it.  It's sort of a transparent black jelly base with LOADS of small purple glitter and larger pieces of purple glitter. I was having trouble picking what I wanted to paint my nails with and kiwimitts2 (aka Kristie) chose Scandalous for me. Thank you Kristie!  Ok, on to the pictures!

This is 2 coats of Scandalous (over my Sally Hansen Double Duty Base Coat and Top Coat).  This is where my experiment comes in. Remember my manicure that lasted 2 weeks?  I really think it had something to do with the Wet N Wild Spoiled polish I had used.  My husband and son both needed chapstick so I ran to CVS this morning and grabbed this-

After the 2 coats of Scandalous had a few minutes to dry I added a layer of Wet N Wild Spoiled in X-Ray Vision, and then applied my Seche Vite.  I'm curious to see if my polish lasts so well again. I would have to say if it does, it's because of the Wet N Wild Spoiled polish.  And they're only $1.99 so how awesome would that be?!  Whatever the results come out to be I will definitely share them.

  2. It's very pretty! I'm not looking forward to taking it off. I have been using the foil method to remove glitter polishes (which is a lot better than rubbing my fingers raw in my little tub of remover I have), but it's starting to take a toll on my fingers. I'm going to have to space out my glitters!
